Long-term retreat house for Ani Sonam
(Helambu, Nepal)
Ani Sonam is a Buddhist nun who has been in retreat for 12 years. To this day, she does not have her own home, but lives in a room in the house of a nun friend.
But now the space is needed and Ani Sonam needs a new place to live.

Some projects in Mugu village
Focusing support on a single village creates a more sustainable impact. Resources, knowledge, and infrastructure can be pooled, fostering genuine development momentum in education, health, agriculture, and community life. Instead of numerous small, isolated initiatives that often fail to produce lasting change, a focused approach empowers local people and generates tangible progress that benefits the entire village community in the long term.
Furthermore, a focused commitment fosters trust, cooperation and responsibility – foundations for stable, self-sustaining development.
Toilets
(Mugu village, Himalayas, Nepal)
Currently, over 70% of residential buildings have no toilets available; there are three communal toilets for the entire village.
As a result, hygiene conditions are more than just inadequate.

Wastewater pipes
(Mugu village, Himalayas, Nepal)
Apart from the lack of toilets, all wastewater is currently simply flushed onto the street.

Electricity
(Mugu village, Himalayas, Nepal)
Currently, there is only a meager supply of electricity/light, provided by a single small solar power system for the entire village. Aside from the fact that this electricity supply is very limited and restricted to just a few hours per day, it also means that when even a (weak) electric machine is in operation, all other residents are without power.
